Adhesive Tape

Adhesive tapes are composed of a primary backing layer made of various materials and an adhesive surface, falling under the category of pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs). The backing layer can be made of paper, plastic, fabric, or foil, which is then coated with a polymeric material. These polymers are typically water-based acrylics, which, in addition to offering high resistance to environmental conditions, provide faster performance compared to many other materials.
