Machine Made Carpets
There is no doubt that carpet is known as the most beautiful and elegant floor covering in the world.
Archeology discoveries indicate the art of weaving carpets date as long back as 4000 years BC carpets in ancient Persia, with the invention of synthetic fibers and weaving machines in late 19th and early 20th century machine carpets have high speed and lower cost manufacturing process which made them very popular as a floor covering.
Nowadays there are lots of modern machines employed to manufacture these type of carpets according to customers taste. Manufacturing machine carpets has three stages of spinning, weaving and finishing.
Unlike fibers of hand woven carpets which are held together by knots, machine carpet fibers are put together in parallel which after weaving in the finishing process are adhered together by resin. The variety of fibers and texture in use makes the finishing stage more bold as ever.
SBR resins are the most suitable and widely used in the finishing process which results in durability of the carpet, strong binding between the fibers and remarkable underhand and stiffness.
