Paper Industry
In the paper manufacturing process, various types of emulsion polymers are used, among which styrene-butadiene resins are one of the most important and widely utilized.
With the advent of high-speed papermaking machines and flexible printing technologies, additional requirements have emerged for the use of styrene-butadiene latex resins. This type of resin is used in both pulp preparation and the coating stage.
The surface of base papers—such as coated paper (glossy), grey-back paper, conventional carbonless paper, and others—contains dust and lint resulting from poor adhesion of coating materials to the paper surface. The styrene-butadiene resin produced by our company is suitable for both pulp manufacturing and paper coating, providing abrasion resistance. It also improves paper performance and quality while simultaneously enhancing production efficiency and reducing energy consumption and costs.
The advantages of using styrene-butadiene latex resins include increased adhesion, good compatibility with pigments and fillers, appropriate paper smoothness, an aesthetic appearance, and excellent whiteness.
